The Mona Shores boys basketball team played even with Reeths-Puffer for two quarters on Friday, then pulled away for an easy 67-48 victory in an O-K Black Conference contest.LSJ Logo incert

The game was tied 25-25 at halftime, then the Sailors exploded for a 38-10 run over the first 12 minutes of the second half to take control of the game.

Mona Shores improved to 3-8 overall and 1-5 in the conference.

Kobe Burse paced the Sailors with 16 points, 12 rebounds and four assists while DeAndre Oakes-Owens added 12 points and four assists. Hunter Broersma chipped in with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The Rockets were led by Carter Fulton with 11 points and Tyler Miller with eight points.
