Mona Shores tried to rally from 15 points down in the third quarter against Zeeland East on Tuesday, trimming lsj-fb-logothe Dux lead to eight multiple times in the fourth quarter.

But the Sailors could inch no closer, falling 60-51 in the O-K Black Conference battle.

Hunter Broersma led the Sailors (2-8, 0-4) with 15 points, while Deandre Oakes-Owens added 12 points and Kobe Burse finished with 11 points.

GRAND RAPIDS UNION 60, REETHS-PUFFER 29 – The Rockets remained winless following their home loss to Union in O-K Black action. Armund Gordon led Reeths-Puffer (0-10, 0-4) with 15 points and eight rebounds.

SPRING LAKE 72, TRI COUNTY 60 – Spring Lake used a 19-7 third quarter run on Tuesday night to pull away from Tri County in non-league action. Keegan George paced the Lakers (8-2, 4-0) with 18 points, 10 assists and six rebounds.

GRAND HAVEN 59, GRANDVILLE 37 – Grand Haven jumped out to a 21-6 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Zac Holman led the Buccaneers (9-3, 3-1) with 13 points.
