Grand Haven girls basketball team coasted to an easy opening round Class A district win on Monday, defeating Grand Rapids Union 58-27 on its home court.

LSJ Logo incertThe Buccaneers jumped out to a 12-5 first quarter lead, led 22-12 at halftime and cruised to the victory.

Grand Haven was led by Alli Keyser with 15 points, four assists and four steals, while Sophie Mariani added 10 points, seven rebounds and four steals.

The Buccaneers will face Reeths-Puffer at home on Wednesday in the district semifinals at 7 p.m.
