The Grand Haven softball team blasted Fruitport in a non-league doubleheader, 16-4 and 14-4, on Monday.

LSJ Logo incertIn Game 1, the Buccaneer offense was paced by Kaylee Hartwell with three hits, three runs, and three RBIs.

Baby Hang also stood out for Grand Haven with two hits, three runs scored, and two RBIs while Jordan Buckingham, Jackie Crow, Jordyn Burel, and Kylie Masko each finished with two hits.

In Game 2, Morgan Hill and Mikayla Gronback each paced the Buccaneers with four hits and four run scored, while Masko added two hits and four RBIs and Yogi Hang chipped in with two hits and three RBIs.

Masko pitched 6 and 1/3 innings combined in both games, striking out nine batters.

Grand Haven will play at Spring Lake on Wednesday in the “Battle of the Bridge”.
