The Lakers are now 16-0 on the season and 8-0 in the Lakes 8 Conference. The perfect start has earned them a fourth-place ranking in Division 2.

In Game 1, Madelyn Nelson and Lindsey Paggeot paced Spring Lake with four hits apiece. Lauren Hellman and Ann Marie Galloway chipped in with two hits each.

The Lakers’ pitcher Lauren Somers picked up the victory, allowing three hits while striking out five batters.

In Game 2, Spring Lake broke the contest open with a 15-run seventh inning.

Leah Vaughan, Kileah Rymal and Galloway each hit a home run during the seventh inning for the Lakers.

Jenna Core chipped in with four hits for Spring Lake while Katie Mumby and Vaughan each had three hits.
