The Mona Shores softball squad swept its doubleheader over Grand Rapids Union, 17-1 and 20-6, in an O-K Black Conference action on Monday.

In Game 1, Mackenzie Quinn paced Mona Shores with three hits while Mackenzie Willeke and Taylor Dew each added two hits.

Megan Crane pitched the win for the Sailors in Game 1, striking out eight batters in three innings.

In Game 2, Mona Shores was led by Dew with five hits, including a two-run home run, and six RBIs.

Sailors’ Maddie Nyblade added three hits while Sami Sanborn chipped in with two hits.

Mona Shores’ pitcher Lauren Patterson tossed the Game 2 victory while Desi Parker picked up the save.
