Detroit’s starting pitcher Mike Pelfrey suffered the loss, allowing one runs on six hits in six innings.

The Tigers are now 45-42 on the season, good for three-way tie for second place in the American League Central Division behind the first-place Cleveland Indians.

Detroit is look to snap its two-game losing streak with a win over the Blue Jays on Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers will look to even the series with a win against the Blue Jays on Friday night.
