The victory left the Whitecaps with a 60-48 overall record. They are 21-20 in the second half standings, 6 ½ games behind Bowling Green in the Midwest League Eastern Division.

The win snapped Bowling Green’s nine-game winning streak.

Derek Hill, Jose Zambrano, Jose Azocar and Cam Gibson all had two hits for West Michigan. Starting pitcher Beau Burrows picked up his sixth victory of the season.
