The Panthers started strong, as they won the first two sets, 25-4 and 25-16, before White Cloud rallied for wins sets 3 and 4, 25-18 and 25-23.

In the fifth set, the teams were tied at 9-9, but too many mental mistakes by the Panthers down the stretch helped the Indians prevail and complete the stunning comeback.

Alyssa Miller had nine kills and four aces to lead Hesperia. Delaney Hussey added seven kills and four aces, while Cheyenne Witte contributed seven kills and seven digs.

Ceara Thomas tallied 24 assists, seven digs and three aces.
