The Hart wrestling squad bowed out of the Division 4 state team tournament on Wednesday night with a heartbreaking 34-28 loss to Carson City-Crystal in a regional championship match at Hesperia High School.

The Pirates defeated Kent City 65-12 earlier in the night to advance to the finals.

Hart wrestlers who won against Kent City were Robbie Altland (103), Jacob Bosley (112), Noah Cantu (119), Jayden Vanderzwagg (125), Andrew Whitney (135), Arturo Perez (145), Brady Tate (152), Carlos Garza (160), Abel Vilches-Mendoza (171), Alex Holladay (189), John Guadaramma (215) and Omar Ruiz (285).

In the finals, Hart got wins from Cantu (112), Bosley (119), Jerry Brandel (140), Tate (152), Vilches-Mendoza (160) and Guadarrama (215).

The Pirates finished the season with an overall dual record of 28-7.
