The Grand Haven boys basketball team overcame a four-point third quarter deficit, defeating East Kentwood 60-54 on Tuesday night in an OK Red Conference game.
The Bucs trailed 29-28 at halftime and 41-37 heading into the fourth quarter before outscoring the Falcons by a 23-13 margin during the final frame.
Zac Holman paced Grand Haven with 18 points while Ross Koella added 16.
The Bucs are now 12-3 on the season and 6-2 in league play.
OK BLACK
MUSKEGON 83, FRUITPORT 14 – The Big Reds had five players score in double figures in Tuesday night’s OK Black conference win. Muskegon (14-0, 8-0) held the Trojans to just three second half points after taking a 46-11 lead at halftime. Jermayne Golidy led the Big Reds in scoring with 15 points, while Markell Jackson had 13. Forward Anthony Bethea recorded a double-double for Muskegon with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
KENOWA HILLS 45, REETHS-PUFFER 35 – The Rockets (2-11, 1-4) jumped out to an early lead, but couldn’t hold on against Kenowa Hills in an OK Black game. Reeths-Puffer led 13-6 after the first quarter and trailed 23-19 at halftime before getting outscored by a 22-16 margin during the second half. Emcee Williams and Gary Humphrey III scored seven points each to lead the Rockets.
Muskegon is actually 14-0 right now and will be looking to go 15-0 Friday night @ Kenowa Hills then looking to go 16-0 @ Ypsilanti on Saturday night.
