Mariners 3, Tigers 2 (12 innings) – Mike Zunino’s RBI double in the 12th inning led the Seattle Mariners over the Tigers on Thursday afternoon.
Victor Martinez hit a two-run double in the first inning for Detroit.
Detroit starting pitcher David Price got a no decision, allowing two runs on five hits in eight innings.
Ian Krol took the loss for the Tigers, giving up one run on three hits in 2/3 innings.
The Tigers will start a 10-game road trip staring on Friday night against the Boston Red Sox. Justin Verlander will face former Tiger teammate Rick Porcello in the pitching matchup.
