The Holton boys’ basketball team used a balanced scoring effort to pick up a 56-49 Class C district semifinal victory over rival Hesperia on Wednesday night at Mason County Central High School.
Jake Tanner paced the Red Devils (11-10) with 20 points while Kyle Wildfong added 16 and Kevin Slowik had 15.
Hesperia was led by Scott Peters with 16 points and Kanin Witte with 11.
Holton will advance to play Mason County Central on the Spartans’ home court on Friday at 7 p.m. in the district championship game.
