Mason County Central wins a Class C district title, cruises past Holton

The Mason County Central boys basketball squad cruised past Holton 46-33 on Friday night to capture a Class C district title.

The Spartans outrebounded Holton by a 28-14 margin and led 32-17 at halftime.

Ryan Mount paced MCC with 16 points and nine rebounds while Jeffrey Carrier added 10 points.

The Red Devils were led by Dalton Giddings with 11 points while Brandon Epplett chipped in with eight.

The Spartans will face Saginaw Nouvel on Monday in the Class C regional semifinals at Morley Stanwood. Tipoff is slated for 5:30 p.m.
