The Mona Shores softball dropped both games of a non-league doubleheader with Hudsonville on Wednesday.

The Sailors lost the first game 12-2 and dropped the nightcap by a score of 7-6.

Ryleigh Wehler led Mona Shores with two hits in the opener, while Taylor Dew added a hit and an RBI.

Mona Shores fought to the end in Game 2, keeping the game tied until the last at-bat for Hudsonville.

Lauryn Patterson pitched for the Sailors and registered five strikeouts.

Dew led the offense with a home run and three RBIs.

Veronica Kastelic added three hits for Mona Shores, while Wehler and Shelby Savacool added two each hits apiece.
