Mason County Central baseball team grabs a pair of victories against Hart Pirates

The Mason County Central baseball team beat Hart 4-3 in extra innings on Tuesday in West Michigan Conference action.

Connor Willick got the win on the mound for Mason County Central, pitching all eight innings while striking out seven. Cody Soberalski and Trey Posma each had three hits for the Spartans while Zach Quinn added two.

Alec Kempker had a two-run homer for Hart. Chris Schaner had a solo shot. Brendan Reid was the hard-luck loser on the mound, pitching all eight innings and walking only one.

MCC sewed up the sweep with a 16-3 win in the nightcap. Willick,  Soberalski and Ian Grey each had two hits for the Spartans. Reid and Austin Vanderlaan collected single hits for Hart.
