The Whitehall softball team clinched second place in the West Michigan Conference behind Oakridge with a doubleheader sweep of Hart on Tuesday.

The Vikings (22-9 overall, 10-2 WMC) won by scores of 7-2 and 15-0.

Ella Lyvere picked up the win in both games and totaled five strikeouts.

Saje Preihs and Katelyn Goodrich dominated at the dish with five hits apiece. Emily Martin collected three hits and Kate Martin had two, including a homer.

Madison Bond drove in four on the day while Alison Shaffer added three RBIs.

Karla Ortega had three hits on the day for Hart. Nicole Rockwell and Makenzi Michalko had two hits each.
