The Muskegon Clippers fell to the Lake Erie Monarchs 8-2 in Game 1 of a doubleheader on Tuesday.
Adam Biss took the loss on the mound for Muskegon, tossing 3 2/3 innings while allowing eight runs.
Tyler Trovinger led the offense with two hits, while Nolan Bryant added an RBI.
Muskegon is now to 12-16 overall and fell into fourth place in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League Northern Division Standings.
Game 2 was suspended in the fourth inning with the Monarchs leading 3-0. That game will be resumed the next time these two teams meet.
The Clippers return home to Marsh Field on Wednesday night to begin a two-game series with the Irish Hills Leprechauns. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
