The Kent City football team remained perfect this season after dominating Lakeview 49-23 in a CSAA Silver matchup Friday night.

The Eagles were up 28-14 at halftime and increased their lead to 42-14 by the end of the third quarter. Kent City added another touchdown in the fourth quarter while allowing nine points.

Quarterback John Meek paced the Eagles offensively with 88 rushing yards on eight carries, while completing eight of nine passes for 57 yards and two scores.

Kent City’s Gio Weeks rushed for 101 yards on 13 carries.

The Eagles were paced defensively by Whyatt Ellicott with nine tackles.

Kent City is now 5-0 on the season and 3-0 in conference play.
