The Grand Haven football team earned its first victory of the season with a 54-0 pummeling of Grand Rapids Union on Friday night.

In a battle of 0-8 teams, the Bucs jumped out quickly and led 26-0 after the first quarter and 40-0 at halftime.

Alex Kaufman had two rushing touchdowns for the Bucs, while Malic Love, Ryan Mattson, Hunter Spangler and Carson Stenberg each added one.

Buccaneer quarterback Adam Nelson threw for one score to Collin Takas from 43 yards out.

Love was the Bucs; leading rusher with 74 yards on five carries.

Grand Haven finishes the season with a 1-8 record.
