Grant volleyball team beats South Christian in regional semis, will face Fruitport for title

The Grant volleyball team defeated Grand Rapids South Christian 3-1 on Tuesday in a Class B regional semifinal match at Orchard View High School.

The Tigers won by set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-18 and 27-25.

Kylie Patton had 22 kills to lead the Tigers, followed by Olivia Keelean with 11. Nicole Whan had 49 assists along with two service aces.

Taylor Wegener and Keelean played great defense, earning 18 and 17 digs, respectively. Kylie Patton contributed five blocks while Keelean had 3.

The Tigers, 43-12-5, will play Fruitport for the regional championship on Thursday at 7 p.m.at Orchard View High School.
