Spring Lake’s Nick Krueger  had a great day at last weekend’s MHSAA Division 2 boys state golf finals at Bedford Valley Golf Course in Battle Creek.

Krueger, a junior, finished with a score of 141, which was good for second place in the final individual standings. He trailed  only Alex Jordan of Mason, who won the individual state title with a 139.

In Division 3 state final action at Forest Akers West on the Michigan State University campus, Evan McKinley of Ludington shot a 160 while Tyler Hukill of Shelby scored 172.

In the Division 4 finals at Forest Akers East at MSU, Western Michigan Christian finished 11th in the final team standings with a score of 687.

The Warriors were led by Chandler Breit, who scored 168, and Owen Alfree, who was a shot behind at 169. Rounding out the Warrior scorecard were Dan Vanbiesbrouck (174), Caleb Minaslan (176) and Jeffrey Merz (206).
