Quarterback Connor Kilbourne lit up the air with 228 passing yards, including four touchdowns, to lead the Ravenna football team to a big 53-26 victory over North Muskegon in a West Michigan Conference shootout on Friday.

Ravenna led 6-0 after one quarter. North Muskegon put up 26 points in the second and led 26-21 at halftime.

But the Bulldogs lowered the boom in the second half, outscoring the Norse 32-0.

Scoring for Ravenna was Josh Cox, who had a 20-yard touchdown catch, Grant Parker with a 77-yard TD reception, and Calvin Schillo with scoring catches of seven and 49 yards.

Jared Broton returned a kickoff 72 yards for a touchdown, swinging momentum Ravenna’s way.

Kilbourne added two rushing touchdowns, of 7 and 4 yards, and finished with six scores on the night.

Garry Johnson was another offensive star for Ravenna, gaining 197 yards on 32 carries and scored a 46-yard touchdown.

North Muskegon quarterback Mack Young had a huge night in the loss, completing 25 of 42 passes for 390 yards and four touchdowns.

Jesse Cook had seven catches, including touchdowns of six and 13 yards, and totaled 98 yards for the Norse. De’Shary Robinson had five catches for 86 receiving yards, including one touchdown scamper of 36 yards. TJ Mackenzie also had a touchdown catch for 26 yards.

Ravenna is 2-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play. The Bulldogs will visit Shelby next week. North Muskegon (1-2, 0-2) will visit Montague.
