Ian Horning scores three goals, leads Whitehall over Grant in Div. 3 district play

Ian Horning’s three-goal hat trick led the Whitehall boys soccer team to a 8-0 win over Grant on Tuesday in the opening round of Division 3 districts.

The Vikings also had goals scored by Brett Evans, who had two, while Denver Aguirre, Isaac Parmley and Julian Pruett added one.

Horning also chipped in with three assists while Evans, Murray Andree, Parmley and Aguirre contributed with one.

Whitehall’s goalkeeper Sam Stevens stopped three shots in net.

The Vikings will face host Orchard View on Thursday in district semifinal action.
