The Whitehall and Reeths-Puffer girls tennis teams battled to a 4-4 draw on Friday in non-conference action.

Reeths-Puffer dominated in singles. Alivia Depies beat Whitehall’s Rylee Woodring in a three-set match at No. 1 singles, while Kayleigh Wilhelm (No. 3) and Loveleen Kaur (No 4) both won in straight sets for the Rockets.

Whitehall’s Kenedy Woodring (No. 2 singles) also won in straight sets.

Whitehall swept the first three doubles flights. Winners were Mckenna Hepler and Lily Groessl (No. 1). Lauren Schneider and Braley Johnson (No. 2), and Sarah Vandam and Lacey Herbert (No. 3), who all took their matches in straight sets.

Reeths-Puffer’s Madison Root and Joey Yang were the winners in No. 4 doubles.

Ludington falls to Coopersville

The Ludington girls tennis team fell short on Friday, losing to Coopersville 6-2 in non-conference action.

Winners for Ludington were Lindsey Holmes in No. 1 singles and Hailee Ward and Carmen Wardle in No. 1 doubles.
