The North Muskegon girls tennis team won both of its matches on Saturday, defeating Western Michigan Christian 8-0 and Grand Haven 7-1.

Norse singles winners who won both of their matches were Alicia Hall (No.1 singles), Claire McCall (No.2 singles), Noa Bowen (No.3 singles) and Lindsay Bliss (No.4 singles).

Doubles teams who won both of their matches for the Norse were Belles Hardman and Lily Montgomery (No.1 doubles), Sarah Muzzy and Carina Steketee (No.2 doubles) and the team of Liz Monally and Izzy Reynolds (No.4 doubles).

The team of Gabby Gaston and Greta Goszkowicz (No.3 doubles) had one win on the day.

FRUITPORT FINISHES SECOND AT WHITEHALL TOURNAMENT – The Trojans finished with 15 points on Saturday behind first place Cadillac who finished with 18.

Other team scores were Spring Lake with nine and Whitehall with six.

Flight champions for Fruitport were Haleigh Winskas (No.2 singles), Olivia Parling (No.3 singles) and Hannah Kelly (No.4 singles).

Runner-up finishes for Fruitport were Trinity Busscher (No.1 singles) and the team of Emily Dirkse and Alison Blakeman (No.1 doubles).

Flight champions for Spring Lake were Erika McSheehy and Taylor Gates (No.3 doubles) while Erin Burke and Zoe Walters (No.2 doubles) were runner-up in their flight.

MUSKEGON CATHOLIC DOUBLES TEAMS HAVE SUCCESS – All four doubles teams for Muskegon Catholic were flight champions in the Grand Rapids Union Invitational on Saturday.

The winning teams were Amelia Heminger and Jazmine Bennett (No.1 doubles), Anna Riegler and Hazel Rodriguez (No.2 doubles), Brenna Kieft and Andrea Sanford (No.3 doubles) and the team of Nia Merriweather and Emma Maierhauser (No.4 doubles).
