North Muskegon girls soccer squad pounds Lakeview 12-0 to advance to district finals

The North Muskegon girls soccer team cruised to an easy 12-0 win over Lakeview on Tuesday in a Division 4 district semifinal action.

Hope Johnson paced the Norse with four goals, while Ferris Mueller added three and Gwenna Pitts chipped in with two.

North Muskegon’s Audrey Wilson, Sophia Schotts and Abby Grevel each contributed with a single goal.

Pitts chipped in with three assists while Wilson, Johnson and Schotts had two each.

The Norse will host West Michigan Christian on Friday night with a Division 4 district title on the line.
