The North Muskegon tennis team took second place in the Portland Invitational on Friday finishing with 12 points.

The Norse finished behind Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett with 19 points but ahead of Portland with 11 points and Paw Paw with six points.

Jack Dobb (No.1 singles) and Brennen McManus (No.3 singles) each took home flight championships while Tom Schanhals (No.2 singles) and Troy McManus (No.4 singles) took runner-up in their respective flights.

WHITEHALL TAKES FIRST – The Whitehall tennis team finished with 15 points on Saturday, outscoring Lansing Catholic with three points, Lansing Christian with three points and Almont with three points.

Jackson Vanbergen (No.1 singles) and the teams of River Morrison and Christian Smolen (No.2 doubles) all took home flight championships for the Vikings.
