The Muskegon Heights football team was overmatched against defending Division 8 runner-up Breckenridge on Friday night, falling 49-0 in a non-conference game.

Breckenridge led 14-0 after the first quarter, 22-0 at the half and 35-0 after three. The Huskies outgained the Tigers 323-98.

D’Angelo Hollins was the leading rusher for Muskegon Heights with 12 yards. Darrell Robinson had 26 yards receiving. Jordan Cooper led the defense with eight tackles, a sack and a forced fumble.

The Tigers struggled with turnovers, throwing six interceptions.

Muskegon Heights, now 1-1, will visit Northpointe Christian next week.
