The Fruitport Calvary boys basketball team won its first game of the season, defeating Wellspring Prep 72-61 on Friday in an Alliance Conference game.
The Eagles were paced by Ben Zelenka with 26 points and nine rebounds, while Jacob Schitema added 18 points and 13 rebounds. Jacob May recorded 15 points.
Fruitport Calvary is now 1-9 overall and 1-5 in league play and will host West Michigan Aviation Academy next Tuesday.
