The Muskegon Community College womens basketball team downed Jackson 69-49 at home on Wednesday night.

After one quarter, the Jayhawks led 19-14 before playing an even second quarter and leading 31-26 at halftime.

In the third quarter, Muskegon started to pull away, outscoring Jackson 21-10 and leading 52-36 after the third quarter.

Iyana Brown and Tanae Hamer each led Muskegon with 16 points while Yasmine Colon and Kacy Jeffries each added 10 points.

The Jayhawks are now 10-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
