The Ravenna boys basketball team remained unbeaten on the season after an easy 64-21 win over Hart on Friday in West Michigan Conference action.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 9-2 first quarter run, then led 23-10 at halftime. A dominant third quarter led to a Ravenna 23-7 run, pushing the lead to 66-17.

Jacob May paced the Bulldogs 19 points and 18 rebounds. Trevor Sterken added 12 points while Calvin Schullo had eight points. 

Fino Hernandez led the Pirates with six points.

The Bulldogs improved to 10-0 in conference play and 13-0 overall.

The Pirates are 4-11 overall and 0-10 in conference play.

MONTAGUE 56, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 40 – The Wildcats are now above .500 after a league victory on Friday night.

Mason County Central led 10-9 after the first quarter but was unable to keep ahold of the lead by halftime.

Montague was in control at halftime, leading 20-14 and kept control in the second half. The Wildcats extended their lead to 14 after three quarters, outscoring MCC by a 17-9 margin in the third.

Tate Stine led the Wildcats with 17 points in the win, and Chase Peterson chipped in with 11.

The Spartans were paced by Jeffery Carrier with 16 points.

Montague improved to 7-6 overall and 5-5 in conference play, while the Spartans dropped to 7-7 on the season and 4-6 in league action.

OAKRIDGE 81, SHELBY 45- The Eagles jumped out to a 15-8 lead after the opening quarter, led 35-23 at halftime and had a 50-25 advantage through three quarters.

Tanner Karel paced Oakridge with 17 points, while Garrett Wever added 14 and Austin Fairchild had 11.

The Tigers were led by Joseph Hayes with 20 points, five rebounds and five steals, while Gage Landis added eight points.
