The red hot Mona Shores girls team tallied its fifth straight win on Friday night. The Sailors topped Fruitport 35-26 in an O-K Black game to end the regular season. 

The Sailors’ win streak gives them an 11-9 record to end the regular season, including 8-4 in conference play. The Trojans finish at 6-14 and 1-11 in the O-K Black.

Mona SHores jumped out to an 11-3 lead after the first quarter and led 19-8 at halftime. The teams played an even second half, with Fruitport gaining an 18-16 edge after the break.

Olivia Sobczak led a balanced Sailor attack with eight points. Riley Rosenthal and Jenna Tierman each added seven, while Brooklyn McLemore scored six.

Sydney Bol led all scorers with 11 points for the Trojans. Ellie Fisher added eight. 

CSAA SILVER

KENT CITY 68, HOLTON 12 — The Eagles finished off CSAA Silver conference play unbeaten with a win over the Red Devils Friday night. Kent City started the game on fire, outscoring the Holton 30-5 in the first quarter. The Eagles continued to build on the lead in the second quarter with a 20-2 advantage, making the halftime lead 50-7. 

Kent City extended the lead with a 9-5 edge in the third and a 9-0 edge in the fourth quarter.

Jenna Harrison paced the Eagles with 21 points. Kenzie Bowers pitched in with 15, while Mikayla Loew scored eight.

The Red Devils were led by Gianna Reed and Madi Bosset with three points each. 

The Eagles improve to 19-1 overall and 10-0 in conference. The Red Devils drop to 5-15 overall and 1-9 in conference.

MORLEY STANWOOD 52, HESPERIA 28 — Hesperia junior Emily Bayle reached a major milestone as part of a monster night, despite the loss. Bayle scored her 1,000th career point as part of a 25 point, 22 rebound performance.

A big second quarter advantage helped the Mohawks pull away. Morley Stanwood led 20-12 after the first quarter, but dominated the second quarter 19-2 to lead 39-14 at the half. 

Hesperia finishes 8-12 overall and 4-6 in league play.

O-K BLUE CONFERENCE

SPRING LAKE 54, SPARTA 33 — A big third quarter propelled the Lakers to a conference win on Friday night. The game was knotted at 9-9 after the first quarter and Spring Lake led 21-16 at the break.

The Lakers pulled away after the break with a 21-4 edge in the fourth quarter. Sparta outscored Spring Lake 13-12 in the fourth. 

Phoebe Saunders paced the Lakers with 16 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Jennifer Judge and Meah Bajt contributed 11 points each while Masen Carey recorded eight points. 

Spring Lake ends the regular season with a 6-13 record overall and a 5-7 record in the O-K Blue Conference.
