The Western Michigan Christian volleyball team continued its early season hot streak by beating three tough opponents on Friday at North Muskegon High School.

The Warriors showed a lot of poise, coming from behind to win two of the matches after losing the first set. They also won a third-set tiebreaker in the other match.

WMC beat Whitehall 23-25, 27-25, 25-22, Ludington 25-10, 16-25, 25-18, and North Muskegon 18-25, 25-15, 25-17.

The Warriors were led by a trio of girls in the kills category – Kyla Wiersema (30), Alisha Leffring (29) and Taylor Folkema (28). Kendal Young set things up with 55 assists and Leffring served up six aces.

Defensively, Folkema led with 37 digs and Leffring had six blocks.

WMC is now 5-1 on the season.
