Ludington defeats Shelby, Reed City and Grant in a volleyball quad

The Ludington volleyball team went a perfect 3-0 in quad match on Thursday evening.

The Orioles defeated Shelby (25-15, 25-22), Reed City (25-4, 25-19) and Grant (25-12, 25-10).

Elana Vaara paced the Orioles with 25 kills, while De’Lahna Porter finished off with 20.

Keelyn Laird and Lauren Johnson recorded three aces apiece for Ludington, and Véronique Chapman facilitated the offense with 38 assists. 

The Orioles were led defensively by Sophia Cooney with 26 digs, while Chapman finished with 12, and both Porter and Vaara finished with nine.

Porter also finished with 12 blocks, while Vaara and Laird had eight and five, respectively.
