There was plenty of fierce competition at the Coastal Conference quad Monday night. Whitehall was victorious with 16 points, just ahead of North Muskegon and Ludington with 15 and 14 points, respectively. Grant was fourth with three points. 

Whitehall’s Ashton Trnka was the No. 1 singles champion, beating North Muskegon’s Brennen McManus.

River Morrison of Whitehall topped North Muskegon’s Chris Erndteman to win No. 2 singles. Troy McManus of North Muskegon beat Ludington’s Charles Kolb to claim the No. 3 singles title. Charlie Branch took the No. 4 singles title with a win over Whitehall’s Cayden Ritchie.

Whitehall’s team of Ryan Findorff and Christian Smolen won the No. 1 doubles match over Robby Killips and Jack Stidham of Ludington. Whitehall also won the No. 2 doubles flight, with Steven Cullen and Aiden Raymond topping Sawyer Carr and Riley Holberg of Grant.

Ludington won the No. 3 and No. 4 doubles flights. Nathaniel Seymour and Ethan Walden beat Shamus Corbett and Gavin Grimm of North Muskegon in No. 3, while Gabe Hogenson and Jacob Ratcliffe beat Grayson Hinton and Gus West of North Muskegon in No. 4. 

North Muskegon is the overall Coastal Conference Champion for the season when factoring in regular season results. The Norse are 16-6-4 in duals. 

R-P tennis tops Wyoming, Union — The Reeths-Puffer tennis team topped Wyoming and Grand Rapids Union Monday night.

Pat Eilers went 2-0 in No. 1 singles for the Rockets, as did Tyler Tallefson (No. 2 singles), and Cade Alderink (No. 3 singles). 

Jake Vandenbosch and Alex Orchard (No. 1 doubles), Ben Westerhof and Eric Yang (No. 2 doubles) and Morgan Champou and Emily Champoux (No. 4) all went 2-0 in doubles play. 

The Rockets had 12 points on the day, while Union had nine and Wyoming had three. 

Spring Lake finishes rained out match — The Lakers picked up a handful of wins in finishing a rained out match against O-K Blue foes Holland Christian, Hamilton and Unity Christian.

AJ Dalman picked up a win in No. 3 singles against Unity Christian and Max Witherell got a win against Holland Chirstian in No. 4 singles. Callum Saxe and Teddy Hylant picked up a comeback win against Hamilton in No. 1 doubles, while Jack DerVartanian and August Druzgal defeated Holland Christian in No. 3 doubles in three sets.
