The North Muskegon volleyball squad won a key West Michigan Conference clash in comeback fashion on Tuesday night.

The Norse won the first set 25-16, then lost the next two by scores of 19-25 and 22-25. North Muskegon closed the match with close set victories of 25-23 and 15-13 to seal the victory.

Syann Fairfield led North Muskegon with a game-high 30 kills, while Emma Houseman chipped in with 53 assists.

The Norse were paced defensively by Megan Houseman with 21 digs.

Whitehall was led by Charley Klint with 25 kills and 26 digs, while Ryleigh Mott had 32 digs. Maggie Evans had 51 assists.

North Muskegon improved to 14-5 overall and 5-0 in conference, while the Vikings fell to 13-4 on the season and 3-1 in league play.
