A strong second quarter propelled the Muskegon boys basketball team to a 69-34 win over Jenison on Tuesday in an O-K Black Conference contest.

The Big Reds led 15-7 in the first before going on a 29-point offensive surge in the second quarter, leading 44-18 at the half.

Muskegon outscored Jenison 16-8 in the third quarter.

Jarvin Walker led the Big Reds with 16 points. Jordan Porter added 12 points and eight rebounds while Samarri Knox recorded 10 points and six rebounds. Vern Nash contributed nine points.

The Big Reds, now 6-1 overall and 3-0 in their league, will travel across town to Mona Shores on Friday.
