The Mona Shores volleyball team wrapped up a very successful regular season by posting a 1-1 record in a quad meet on Thursday night.

The Sailors lost to Holland Christian 25-23, 25-17, then defeated Grand Rapids West Catholic 25-20, 25-20.

Brooke LeRoux was one leader for the Sailors on the night with nine kills and five aces. Bri Wade also had nine kills along with three aces, and eight blocks defensively.

Grace Norris set up the offense with 27 assists.

Mona Shores finished the regular season with a 19-8 record. They Sailors also won the O-K Green conference title with a 10-0 mark.

They will open conference play on Monday against Grand Haven on the Bucs’ home court.

NORTH MUSKEGON TRI MEET – The Norse defeated Ludington 25-16, 25-20 and Reeths-Puffer 25-13, 25-20 in a pair of non-conference matches.

Syann Fairfield led with 19 kills, Emma Houseman had 52 assists and Megan Houseman had 13 digs.

The Norse will open Division 4 district play at home on Monday against Holton.

WHITEHALL TRI MEET – The Vikings finished up the regular season with a pair of wins over Grand Rapids West Catholic (25-20, 13-25, 25-24) and Holland Christian (25-15, 25-19).

Caydence King led the Vikings with 16 kills. Maggie Evans had 54 assists and Camryn Evans served five aces. Defensively,  Ryleigh Mott had 15 digs.

MONTAGUE TRI MEET – The Wildcats had an unusually tough night, losing to Caledonia 25-11, 25-22, 25-9, then falling to Forest Hills Northern, as well.

The Wildcats won the first set against FH Northern 25-18,, but lost the last two 25-22, 25-21.

Ally Hall led Montague with 20 kills, five aces and six blocks. Raegan Murphy had 50 assists and Morgan Netcott totaled 29 digs.

REETHS-PUFFER TRI MEET – The Rockets lost 2-1 to Ludington and 2-0 to North Muskegon in their final warmup matches before districts.

R-P beat Ludington in the first set 25-18, then lost the next two 25-14 and 15-13. The Rockets lost to North Muskegon 25-15, 25-20.

Brianna Stawski had 11 kills and served seven aces for the Rockets. Beth Jordan had 33 assists, while Sophia Hekkema led the defensive effort with seven digs.

Reeths-Puffer, 11-17, will play again on Wednesday in the Division 1 district semifinals against the winner of Monday’s Mona Shores-Grand Haven match.

OAKRIDGE 3, FRUITPORT CALVARY 0 – The Eagles won by set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-21.

Riann Fri had nine kills for Oakridge, Hayden Ruel collected 18 service points, 29 assists and 10 digs, Emma Fri had 17 digs and Alivia Harger had two blocks.

Ella Dykman had nine kills for Fruitport Calvary, Beka Dukes had 16 assists and Logan Burgess had 19 digs.
