Kent City overcomes slow start to defeat Central Montcalm in four sets

STANTON – The Kent City volleyball team had a slow start but quickly bounced back to take down Central Montcalm on Tuesday, 23-25, 25-8, 25-13 and 25-18.

Maddie Geers led the way with 24 kills, 17 digs, three blocks and a pair of aces, while Kaden Perkins had 10 digs, six aces and five kills. Cailynn Hartzell threw in 39 assists, 16 digs and five aces. Maddy Mitchell contributed four kills and two blocks.

Kent City (21-8-1, 8-1) will be at Grant on Thursday.
