The Fremont baseball squad cruised to a doubleheader sweep on Friday, defeating Tri-County 17-0 in the opener and 12-6 during the nightcap.

Payton Mansfield pitched brilliantly in Game 1, tossing a no-hitting while striking out five batters.

The Packers scored 10 runs in the third inning as six different players knocked in runs.

Joey DeLong led the Packer bats as he went 4-for-4 with four singles while Mansfield also collected multiple hits in the game.

The Packers kept their magic alive as during the fifth inning as they scored seven runs. Five different Packers managed to knock in runs during the frame.

Six players got hits in Game 2 and Grant Vissa managed to steal three bases.

THURSDAY GAME

PENTWATER 15-7, WALKERVILLE 0-2- The Falcons outscored Walkerville 22-2 in a doubleheader sweep on Thursday.

Blake Bringedahl got the win on the mound for Pentwater as he struck out 13 batters while walking one and allowing two hits.

Gavi Oliveraz, Bringedahl and Kaleb Brown kept their bats hot in the first game as they scored 15 runs in five innings.

Malichi Bigsby took the win on the mound in the second game as he struck out one batter, walked three and gave up three hits as the Falcons held Walkerville to just two runs in the second game.
