The Muskegon Community College Jayhawks women’s soccer team improved their record to 3-0 on the young season with a 1-0 victory over the Jackson College Jets on Saturday.
Sammy Hecht scored the opening goal with assistance from Payton McKellar and Kendall Jones.
The Jayhawks’ defensive core of Maggie Prins, Maggie Holmes, Madi Papenhagen, Alexa Musk, Marley Fogel and Audrey Lepper spearheaded the effort that allowed the Jets just one shot on goal the entire game.
MCC returns to action at home (Orchard View) at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
