Muskegon Western Michigan Christian, led by Abby and Grace VanderKooi, took the Girl’s Lakes 8 Conference Meet, held on Tuesday afternoon at Muskegon Catholic Central High School.

WMC senior, Abby VanderKooi (ranked 3rd nationally) would cross the finish line first, with a time of 17:29.9, while her freshmen sister, Grace, would come in second with a time of 18:55.6. WMC would take the meet with a team score of (32), followed closely by Ludington (34), Manistee (77), Muskegon Catholic Central (85) and Muskegon Orchard View with (155).

Other local top ten finisher’s included; Summer Brower (3rd/Ludington), Nadia Grierson (4th/Ludington). Brianna Zuidema (6th/WMC), Olivia Andersen (8th/Ludington), Autumn Brower (9th/Ludington), and Mackenzie Keillor (10th/Ludington).

In boy’s competition, the Ludington Orioles, would take the top honors, with a team score of (43), followed by Manistee (45), WMC (64), MCC (69) and Orchard View (150).

Crossing the finishing line in first place was, senior, Calden Cudney of Manistee with a time of 17:30.6. Other local top ten finisher’s included; Jonathan Clausing (2nd/WMC), Trey Keson (3rd/Ludington), David Reisterer (4th/Ludington), Evan Bennett (5th/Ludington), Jacob Lyonnais (7th/MCC), Owen Lyonnais (8th/MCC) and Jack Walkenhorst (10th/MCC).
