The Mason County Central volleyball team took a loss to hard hitting Montague in Western Michigan Conference play on Tuesday.

Adria Quigley scored one ace and had three digs for the Spartans. Charlie Banks had four kills and two aces while Jessica Gerbers got three digs and a kill.

Tori Dunblaizer made nine digs and two kills, Wren Nelson had five kills, Alayna Rafter got three digs and Maxie Green made six digs.

“Our girls played aggressively and kept going for the ball. We did not shy away from their heavy hitting,” said MCC Coach Erin O’Harra. “I am not discouraged, we are building a foundation for years to come.”

Mason County Central is still winless in the WMC with a record of 0-5 and will look to tally their first win when they travel to North Muskegon on Wednesday October fifth.
