The Muskegon Catholic Crusaders played at the Hesperia quad on Thursday and went 2-1 on the day.

The Crusaders opened with a win over Mason County Central (25-13, 25-16) but followed up with a loss to Onekema (25-20, 25-23).

In the closing match against Hesperia, Muskegon Catholic squeaked away with a 25-24, 25-22 victory.

Claire LaVigne made 12 aces, one block and 26 assists, Ella Muskovin scored five aces, and Erin LaVigne had 22 kills and 21 digs.

Emma Maierhauser got 23 digs, Cara Brukall contributed two blocks while Elana Laguire and Natalie Rich each also recorded a block for MCC.

Muskegon Catholic goes to 12-9 with a conference record of 1-0.
