Grand Haven boys and girls cross country teams each finished second at the OK Red Conference Championships on a rainy Thursday afternoon.

The meet was at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids.

Buc runners had the top two finishers. Seth Norder took first place with a time of 15:43.7 and teammate Nolan Clark followed in 15:52.

Caledonia outdistanced Grand Haven, 35-52, for the team title.

Rockford finished third followed by Jenison, East Kentwood, Grandville, Holland West Ottawa and Hudsonville.

The Buccaneer girls came in second to Holland West Ottawa, 31-60. Rockford came in third followed by Jenison, Caledonia, Hudsonville Grandville and East Kentwood.

Valerie Beeck, a freshman, was the first Grand Haven runner to cross the finish line, turning in a time of 18:10.90 for third while sophomore Payton Hosley was eighth in 19:18.25.
