The Reeths-Puffer volleyball team didn’t let a pair of opening losses host it down at Saturday’s Mona Shores Invitational.

The Rockets followed up with wins in three consecutive matches to capture the Silver bracket title.

The Rockets opened up with losses from Grand Rapids West Catholic (26-24, 25-21) and Hudsonville (25-10, 25-16) but took down their final opponents Calvin Christian (25-21, 25-8), Forest Hills Eastern (21-25, 25-14, 15-7) and Spring Lake (25-17, 25-18).

Leading the day for the Rockets was Brianna Stawski with 45 kills, 23 digs and 11 blocks, Billie Tryska made 18 kills, ten digs and four blocks, Sophia Hekkemma had 24 digs, 17 kills and nine aces and Leah Ellis made 45 digs, scored seven aces and had a kill.

Allie McManus also offered up support with 84 assists, 27 digs and four kills.

Reeths-Puffer hits 18-14 on the season and will play host to Muskegon on Tuesday.
