GRAND RAPIDS–Thanks to a buzzer beating three point basket from Garrett Wever the Oakridge boys basketball team captured an exciting comeback win taking down Potter’s House 38-37 in the final round of the Cornerstone Holiday Tournament on Tuesday evening.

The Eagles trailed by two points going into halftime with the Pumas leading 17-15.

Continuing to follow close behind the Eagles still struggled to slow the Pumas into the third quarter as they continued to stay ahead 30-25.

 But lucky for the Eagles, they were able to jump start a late push where they outscored the Pumas 15-7 to snatch the win away from Potter’s House.

A crucial component to the win, Garrett Wever tossed in 12 points, grabbed seven rebounds and had four assists earning the honors of being named to the Red Division All Tournament Team.

Leading in the come from behind win for the Eagles was Ethan Jozsa who scored a game high 20 points and pulled down eight rebounds. Peyton Ruel grabbed seven steals and dished out two assists.

Oakridge goes into the holiday break with a record of 3-3 and will be back in action on Tuesday, January 4 when they host Mason County Central.
