Making its way through a tough situation of missing several teammates, the Spring Lake boys swim and dive team stepped up in its 113-63 victory over Ludington on Thursday.

Several Lakers posted top finishes on the night.

The state qualifying 200 Medley Relay team of Ethan Hare, Joe Westhoff, Charles Brown and Johnny Wachter took first.

Trevor Dill took first place in the 200 Free, Hare finished first in both the 50 Free and 100 Back, Cayden Walker posted a second place finish in diving and Westhoff placed first in the 100 Free.

Also, the the 200 Free Relay team of Noah Fletcher, Luke Zuelke, Tomas Rule and Brown swam to a first place finish.

The Lakers look forward to their upcoming break before diving back into competition.

“It’ll be great to have a good stretch of time dedicated to just practicing over the holiday break with an Invitational thrown into the mix,” said Coach Nick Zacek. “We’re going to be fierce.”

Spring Lake moves to 2-1 and will be back to action on Monday December 27th when they travel to take on Jenison.
