The Mona Shores boys basketball team used a balanced scoring attack and handled Holland with a 56-44 O-K Green Conference win on Tuesday evening.

The Sailors pulled the advantage early, taking off on a 16-6 scoring run in the opening quarter and even further going into the break leading 30-16. Using the momentum, the Sailors held the advantage for the third quarter and outscored the Dutch 15-10 to bring the score to 45-26.

Things began to cool for the Sailors as they rolled into the final quarter and though the Dutch turned the tables on the attack with the 18-11 scoring advantage, the Sailors held their distance.

Four Sailors posted double digit scoring on the night.

Keontae Richards led the way for the Sailors scoring 12 points, snagging seven steals and making four assists while Ethan Krueger put up 11 points with four assists. Parker Swartz added 10 points, five rebounds and four assists while Demetri Roberson also chipped in 10 points.

Mona Shores improves to 6-6 on the season with a 3-3 conference record and will continue league action as they travel to Wyoming on Friday.
